Update I have kept off the weight. My final weight was about 187 if i remember. This morning I weighed in at 180.4 lbs so for a total of 26.6 lbs. I have lost a total of 35.6 lbs this year. I feel so much better and my belly doesn't shake when my heart beats anymore. I exercise regularly, and lift weights. I still watch the carb intake. I eat carbs, I'm just more conscientiously watching it. I eat apples, they supposedly help with the metabolism and keep the dr. away. Thanks and good luck to all.....

New weight update
So this morning I hit my milestone of 185lbs. I found these low carb wraps called "FLAT OUT BREAD" and the are real tasty to make a pizza on. The only thing wrong with this product is they have a weird sensation, kind of like you are chewing on aluminum foil. Strange.

Assesment
So I feel that this has been worth it. Absolutely. I spent $45 for the HcG, and have lost a total of 20.2 lbs. This morning I weighed myself and the scale read 186.8 lbs. I haven't met my goal of 185 but I am still working towards it. That is a little more than $2 a pound. There are people that spend way more on that. I am now in phase 3 which is the maintenance eating. No Carbs. No Sugar.
I feel so much better. The coolest thing was that I had to go and buy new pants well I actually bought some used ones at the thrift store (D.I.). I tried on a pair of 34's and they fit! with room to spare! I normally wear a size 38. So there is a little testament that Dr. Simeon's HCG protocol works.
I would do this again, if I needed to. The other thing is, this diet and I say diet because of the calorie counting that you have to do, but I have learned which foods are low in caloric value. I have also learned that I can eat without eating crap. (Carbs, Sugars, high fatty foods)
From Memorial weekend to Labor day weekend I lost about 10 lbs, net. This was from sweating it out at work and I stopped drinking Coke and Mt. Dew. From Sep. 13th or so I have lost 20.2 lbs on HCG. That is a total of 30.2 lbs this year. Awesome.
If anyone has questions I will help you out. I will be periodically posting random weigh ins and updates that I am keeping the weight off.

Before and After...
So the full body shots are the before and the closer ones are the after. I feel embarrased putting these up but oh well....

FINAL WEIGHT
MY FINAL WEIGHT ON HCG: 189.0 lbs. This is the weight I will need to maintain for the next 3 weeks. Still no sugar or starches. Today is the start of eating 1500 calories.
Last night I made this flax meal bread. Not the best tasting but it has no sugar and starch in it. I will probably get used to it. So for breakfast I just ate an egg sunnyside up on toast and will top it off with an orange at work while everyone else will be eating donuts today..... "ummmm....donuts....."-Homer Simpson.
ANyways I will be posting before and after pics this afternoon.....

Day 17 morning weigh in
So Day 17 morning weigh in: 188.8 lbs. So I am 3.8 lbs from my target weight. With 2 more days of HCG and 5 days of 500 Calories. I have been reading more and more about the Phase 3 Maintenance part of it. During Phase 3 one still needs to avoid sugar and starches like the black plague. Which means I'll have to make and alternative version of Pizza. My neighbor has baked some flax bread and so I think I will make my pizza with that. My wife has been a trooper through all this. She just wants to be able to go out and eat. Pretty soon Hun hang on.

Day 16 Morning Weigh in
So this morning I weighed in at 190.0 lbs. Which is cool because the past few days I've been weighing in the same. So Sunday evening I googled why it is that i have plateau'd and it said that I would be retaining water but still burning fat and suggested an "apple day" where you only eat apples every 2 hours with a limit of 6 apples and minimize your water intake. So I did this and was only able to do it because I found some really good gala apples from Macey's. I think that I will start regularly be using apples in my diet. So today makes 17lbs in 16 days.

Day 14
Day 14:
This morning I weighed in at 191.6 lbs. The weight loss has been slowing up for me. I'm not sure why. I have been doing everything the exact same. Baffling. So that makes it 15.4 lbs lost in 14 days. This has been well worth it. The limited foods is what makes it really hard. I realize now how many carbs I really eat.
My stomach and chest are still getting flatter. I have noticed a big difference and even a difference over the last couple of days. I've had to notch a new hole in my belt and will even be putting in a new notch in it tonight.
Well I will be having my lunch now.... A Balsamic Shredded Chicken Tender Green Salad with Strawberries

Day11
Let me introduce you to my dinner:

Today wasn't as difficult as other days.
Today wasn't as difficult as other days.
Meals were pretty much the same. However I found these precooked chicken breasts at Sam's club that are perfectly portioned, with 110 calories of Italian seasoned goodness. The breast takes about 3 min to cook as opposed to using my george foreman grill to "knock the fat out".
Tonight I added strawberries though most of them pictured here got ravaged by my 2 cute lil' boys. Jonah kept saying "Mo!" he just wanted more and more and more. Dax said "Dad can I just have 2 more" about 5 times. Strawberries come to find out only have about 2 calories per 1 inch diameter strawberry. Asparagus has very little. I figure this meal was about 150 calories maybe. The dinner filled me as full as thanksgiving dinner after having eaten grandma's pecan pie.
During work it's orange and ice chips. That's it. I haven't really had hunger pangs for awhile. So that combo seem to be holding down the fort.
Right now I weigh: 192.4 I believe that is the same as this morning. Hopefully tomorrow should read about 191.4 Cross your fingers.........

Day 10

This morning I weighed in at 193.6 lbs. Today was just another day of this protocol. After ten days of this I'm 13.4 lbs lighter. I feel like I'm in the dog days of this, the newness has worn off and the end is still over 10 days, remember I still have 11 shots left and then I have to continue to with the diet for an additional 3 days until the hcg leaves the system. I wish I would have taken measurements of my stomach, chest and stuff cause I really can tell a huge difference I will post a before and after picture once this is all said and done. Until then I will leave you in suspense. Funny thing I just read my post from yesterday and I ate the same exact thing today. So there is my update on that. Did you know that 1 lb of fat consists of 3500 calories. So that is how many calories need to be generated to burn that. Sick!

Day 9
So today I did fairly well.
Breakfast was an orange. Woooo, big surprise. I found these super sweet oranges, they were pricey but they taste like candy.
Lunch consisted of a two egg omelet with cucumber salsa in the middle an orange and broccoli.
Dinner was grilled chicken with asparagus.
See not so bad now. I tell you what that omelet is tasty. I put a little bit of hot sauce with it. Oh man, it is like a gourmet meal for me. I think i will enjoy the omelet for a little while. I figured there are about 150 calories in the omelet the oranges are about 60 or so. The broccoli is about 55 calories per cup. Asparagus was about 30 cals. The chicken is about 175. So not to bad pretty close to the 500 calories anyway.
I made a pizza for the boys tonight. I had a little bit of the crust, just a little morceau. It was dang good.
Things I wish I could eat right now:
Peanut Butter
Pizza
Diet Coke
Hamburger
Oreo Milkshake
Sloppy Joes
Cheesy Goodness.
I think I may be coming down with a cold. I've got that feeling in my sinuses.
Tonight I weighed in at 194.4. But we'll see what tomorrow morning yields, or see if the weight loss gods are in my favor......

Day 8 and Day 9 Morning
Day 8 I put on about .8lb, I think the steak I had at our family BBQ was a little to big and tasty. But On monday I stuck to it strictly and am back on track.
This morning I weighed in at 194.6. It may not look like much of a change but my stomach looks and feels a lot flatter. So I've been having a hard time with the meals, I just want to eat everything.
Today I'm going to skip my injection. I think you are supposed to every once in awhile.

This morning I weighed in at 196.4.
This morning I ate an orange, and for lunch I had chicken with cucumbers.
Even though I've been home for the most of the day, I haven't been too tempted to eat random goodness from my pantry.
Doing good so far. I'm now obsessed with weighing myself. It becomes exciting to see. Except like right i weighed in at 197. So hopefully I tomorrow the scale will read less than what I woke up today.

Day 5
Today wasn't bad at all. I'm starting to get more and more creative with my food, but this is stuff you would never think of mixing together for a normal meal. My highlight of today, diet wise, was I found some beverages with stevia. Stevia is a natural sweetner and is on the approved list, where aspartame and saccharin aren't. So there is Virgil's Diet Rootbeer, and Sobe Lifewater 0 calorie. Something other than water for me.
Meals:
Breakfast- orange and water
Lunch-Chicken, green chile's, and an orange, and cucumbers
Dinner-Grilled Chicken with a little bit of tomato paste and green chiles and cucumbers.
My dinner sounds strange but it was so good and felt like I was eating a hearty meal. I was so incredibly full after din din.
My evening weight is 197.0
Tomorrow will be a challenge for me cause all I want to do is watch football from the time I wake up to the time I fall asleep..... And what is football without some kind of junk food right?

Just something I noticed this morning; my urine was pretty clear but was thick and gelatinous. sorry if that was TMI. This morning I used my thigh instead of my arm for the HcG. I think I will be doing it there from now on....

Day 4
So today was the day of temptation. I did good in the whole hunger department. However we went to Sam's Club and saw all that food in there. Then I went to Wal Mart, could have bought some snack but held off. I really want a pizza and some chocolate or something.
I was sweating more than normal today. At the time I finished my work for the day my clothes were sopping wet from sweat. I was sweating like a whore in church.
(Watching "Bully Beatdown")(UFC103 coming up!!)
So For the morning I ate what was left of my rotting orange. Then ate ice cubes, that is the key. I then ate another orange until I got home to heat up my chicken.
For Dinner I sliced some Chicken breast and diced my tomatoes and chopped green chiles in a sautee pan and added some seasoning. It was more like real food cause I actually cooked something. With some cukes I pickled.
Tonight I weigh 197.8...........

I am really surprised, because I felt like I did when I eat thanksgiving meals last night. I ate another piece of chicken and a pickled cuke. I felt really bloated. Crazy, because I felt like I stayed under the 500 calories yesterday. I did really good. I have noticed that I may be menopausal though. Last night, I had some hot flashes. I imagine that this is just my metabolism ramping up. This morning I'm not hungry but will be eating my orange and ice chips.

Day 3
So today was a lot easier than yesterday. I think that preparation put me over the top on the hunger pangs. So for breakfast I ate an orange and a ton of water. I was pretty hungry until 10am then the hunger subsided. I found that eating ice cubes really helped me out, although I know eating them isn't exactly great on the teeth. Then I didn't even really get hungry after that but I ate another orange at 1pm, just for fun. Then when I got home during my lunch break, I grilled another piece of chicken and ate a red, ripe tomato. That tomato was juicy and once again the highlight of my food thus far. I normally eat super fast, as if I was starving. Now that I am on this HCg business I tend to take my time and have really enjoyed the taste of it all, a bit of a gourmand. Still have to look in the pantry and there are still those blasted cookies that keep screaming at me "EAT ME!!!"... but I stared them right in their creamy goodness and said "BACK OFF."
The HcG should now be present in my system, and I'm pretty sure that it is what was curving my appetite. Supposedly it is to deplete fat cells, so that one is not as hungry, and thus able to live off 500 cals.
I will post my stats again either tonight or early AM.

Day 2
So this 500 calorie deal is way harder than I thought. I can only think about food and a big ol' oreo milkshake. Everytime I look into the pantry or fridge there is always some food that catches my eye, and I have to close the door toute suite.
Here's my meals:
Breakfast: Orange
Lunch: Grilled Chicken and Tomato
Dinner: Beef with an Orange and Tomato
I also munched on some baby carrots while I was working. I'm not sure of the calories on this but it might be about 600 or so I'm thinking. Surprisingly enough, I'm not hungry. My food tasted heavenly, my favorite thing was the tomato at lunch. I bought it at the farmer's market on Saturday. The tomato tasted like a piece of heaven. (as my wife would say)
So this morning it was a lot easier to do the injection and I didn't even have that dead arm feeling. I felt like an old pro sticking that needle into my right arm.
I have noticed that I was ornerier than usual today and I probably would have eaten someones arm if they got in my way while I was cooking my meals. I've also had a few headaches but that is not uncommon for me. Ibuprofen loves me.
So I will go and weigh myself and post my stats tomorrow morning.
By the way when I started this my BMI was around 27.

Day 1
So today was the official day of my 20 day HCG experiment. Although yesterday i gorged myself and felt so big and greasy. My neighbor brought me over some cheesecake, which probably had more calories than I normally intake in any given day. With HCg you are supposed to eat yourself silly for a few days before you do an injection and like a day or 2 after your first injection. I am having a hard time with eating all this crap, because I lost 15+ lbs from May to August by limiting my sugar intake, and working (as you all know I walk about 500 miles a day with my job anyway.)
So this morning I weighed myself and the scale said 207.0 which I was disgusted in since pre-labor day it was at 200lbs. I'm sure that I put on a few LB's just between saturday evening and monday morning.
My neighbor was kind enough to let me watch her inject the HcG in her arm, this morning. So I came home and after a lot of chickening out I finally built up the courage to fill the syringe. After a couple of flicks at the tip of the needle I was ready for the next step. I slowly inserted the needle into my arm, with little resistance. It really wasn't as bad as I was expecting, a little sore like a flu shot.
The next thing was to eat a bunch of crap. So this morning I ate a few bowls of corn pops. Then for lunch I had a big greasy hamburger and a big ol' oreo milkshake. A few homeade oreo cookies and I'm sure more to come tonight. Like I said I am reluctant to eat this cause it is oxymoronic to eat all this crap to lose weight. But is has something to do with tricking your metabolism into not thinking you are starving, because tomorrow I will be starting a 500 calorie daily intake. Which I hear is really hard to do the first 4-5 days, until your body starts eating the reserve fat cells. Dunno, but I'll see how this all turns out.
My goal is to get down to 185 lbs.
Things that I will be giving up Diet Coke, Diet Dr. Pepper.
I will also be only eating chicken, some red meat. A small selection of fruits such as strawberries, oranges, grapefruit. One type of vegetable such as celery, tomatoes, and green salad. etc...
I'm doing this blog because I am going to stick with it and account for my days and stats on here. I will be posting my first picture and stats later this evening.... Stay tuned...
